HOSA

Since I've been in high school, I've been in a club called HOSA. It's made a big difference in my life and I'm so glad I've gotten the opportunity to be in it. HOSA stands for Health Occupation Students of America. We compete at a regional, state, and national competition. Today was my regional competition of my senior year. And it didn't exactly go as planned...

First of all, I couldn't find a dress to wear. So at 8:30 the night before I had to go to the store and find a dress.

Then my partner had a mis-hap and realized that she wouldn't be able to attend the competition. I prayed it would be figured out so we would still be able to compete.

So I stayed up really late putting some finishing touches on the poster. I wasn't super happy with the way it turned out, so I was of course stressing about that. Then I had to figure out how to make a brain...... This is a concoction made of Rice Krispie treats and white chocolate.

Then this morning I woke up and my hair was a complete mess. It wouldn't do anything that I wanted it to and I just couldn't get it to look right.

I say all of this to say that God has a plan for you. There is a reason for everything that happens. I could have been really angry with my situation today. But maybe there was a bigger reason for me to not compete. Maybe if I had competed I would have lost. That might have upset me more than not competing! God's plan has your best interest in mind. He won't ever give you more than you can handle or give you something that you cannot over come. So today as I didn't get to compete, I got to cheer on my friends as they won awards, I got to learn about more healthcare careers, and I got to enjoy another beautiful day on earth.{even if it is over-cast and gross today.} Today instead of being upset about what I cannot change, I'm choosing to appreciate the good things and have a good day.

HOSA competitions are always a ton of fun, even if you're not competing! I hope everyone had a great day!
Xoxo.
